WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Oct. 20, 2017) - Central Missouri swept Pittsburg State for their second straight win Friday night at the Multi (25-20, 25-20, 25-17). The Gorillas fought hard, but the Jens were able to come away with the sweep, 3-0.
How it Happened
• Pittsburg State gave the Jennies a lot of points, committing 10 service errors and eight ball handling errors.Â
• The Jens took advantage of those opportunities, landing seven service aces of their own and hit .208 for the match.
• Central Missouri took their first lead at 4-3 and held off the Gorillas from there. They took a seven-point edge, 19-12 on a kill from
Ally Offerdahl, and held on for a 25-20 win after PSU scored three straight near the end.
• The second set saw a few ties and lead changes at the beginning. With the score tied at eight, the Jens went on a 5-1 run to take a 13-9 lead.
Kylie Hohlen had back-to-back service aces and
Molly Lawrence and
Audrey Fisher landed kills during the stretch. Pitt State got back to within three, 19-16, but the Jens scored their final two on PSU errors.
• The third set was the Jennies best of the night. They hit .293 in the frame and landed a match-high 15 kills. UCM took a big lead, 5-1 and never looked back. An ace from
Katie Carlson ended the match. Fisher had five kills in the set.

Audrey Fisher finished with a team-best 10 kills and had two aces and two blocks. She hit .471 for the match.

Ally Offerdahl picked up her eighth double-double with 22 assists and 10 digs.

Kasey Hohlen landed nine kills in the match and
Aubree Bell had six.

Kylie Hohlen registered a game-high 14 digs and
Katie Carlson added seven. Hohlen also had three service aces.Â

• Noelle Dooley tied Fisher with 10 kills. She also had four digs.
• Camryn Blanton dished out 22 assists and finished one dig shy of a double-double.
• Lauren Dunn helped in the back row with 13 digs.
• Taylor Unke had a game-high four blocks including one solo and two kills.

• The Jennies have now won 17 straight against Pittsburg State.

Audrey Fisher recorded her 50th dig of the season and needs one block to reach 50.
• Tomorrow's match with No. 10 Central Oklahoma will be their fourth match this season against a ranked opponent.
