WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Jan. 17, 2017)-- The Central Missouri Mules Wrestling team (5-5, 1-1 MIAA) will look to get back to their winning ways this week as they take on MIAA foe No. 23 Lindenwood tomorrow (Wednesday). Action will get underway at 7 p.m. in the Multi.
Series History
Central Missouri vs. Lindenwood: 7-9-0
The Mules are just two victories away from a .500 record against the Lions. UCM and Lindenwood met last season with the Lions coming out on top, 36-9, in St. Charles.
Mat Points
• The Mules enter Wednesday's dual against the Lions 5-5 overall and 1-1 in MIAA dual competition.
• Central Missouri had a tough outing at the UNK Midwest Duals, going 1-3 with their only win coming against Colorado-Mines, 25-19.

Jesse Reser (165 lbs.) continues to shine in his freshman season with the Mules with an overall record of 20-4, while posting an undefeated dual record at 10-0.

Bradley Irwin (141 lbs.) has also fared well in duals this season for the Mules. He is 8-2 in duals, and both he and Reser went 4-0 at the UNK Duals in their respective weight classes.

Cody Carson (174 lbs.) has the top record for UCM at 21-5, but has not wrestled since the Newman dual back on Jan. 6.
• The Mules dual against Lindenwood will be the 17th meeting all-time between the two programs.
• UCM sits fourth in the MIAA going into Wednesday's dual with Lindenwood and has a 1-1 record in Super Region III.
• After their dual against the Lions, the Mules will have a few days off before hosting Ouachita Baptist on Saturday, Jan. 21.
• Following their two home duals, UCM will host the annual Roger Denker Open on Sunday, Jan. 22.
Scouting the Competition
#23 Lindenwood
• The Lions enter Wednesday's MIAA dual against the Mules ranked No. 23 nationally in the latest d2wrestle.com poll. They have a record of 5-2 overall, 1-1 in the MIAA, and are currently on a three dual win streak.
• Lindenwood was picked to finish second in the MIAA in Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning 19 points and first place vote. They started the season unranked nationally, but earned the No. 23 spot entering 2017 after a few dual wins and high placings in tournaments.
• The Lions are under the direction of first year Head Coach Jimmy Rollins. This is Rollins first year as the head bench boss for Lindenwood and his sixth overall season with the program.
• Lindenwood has done well this season in tournaments with a total of 16 placewinners in three tournaments and a handful of champions. In duals, the Lions only two losses have come against Indianapolis and MIAA foe, Nebraska-Kearney.
• Carlos Jacquez (125 lbs.) has been the top wrestler for Lindenwood this season with a mark of 12-2 overall and 4-0 in duals. Hunter Haralson (133 lbs.) has the second best record for the Lions at 12-6 and is 3-1 in duals.
• The Lions will also compete in the Roger Denker Open this Sunday, Jan. 22 in Warrensburg, Mo.
