WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Oct. 30, 2016)-- The fourth-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer team won their ninth overall MIAA regular season title and seventh straight with a 6-1 win over Missouri Western Sunday afternoon at Jennies Field. The Jennies finish the regular season 16-1 overall, 10-1 in conference play, and are the No. 1 seed in the MIAA Tournament.

Jada Scott scored four goals for the Jennies, while junior
Taylor Thompson and senior
Maddie Waner both scored one a-piece. In net, junior
Ana Dilkes collected four saves to earn her 16th win of the season, while Waner collected one save and allowed one goal.
The Jennies came out strong to start the game scoring two goals in the first seven minutes. Scott scored her first goal off a right side pass from senior
Hannah Pyle in the third minute of the game. Scott handled the pass and sent her shot into the high left corner of the net well pass the goalkeeper's reach. Pyle's assist was her first of two in the game.
Four minutes later, Thompson pushed the Jennies lead to 2-0 when she nailed a shot from the right side of the field from 30 yards out off an assist by senior
Emily Eldridge from the right corner. Thompson fielded the pass and sent the ball to the far left corner of the net before the goalkeeper reached it. Thompson's goal is her first of season.
Eldridge was not done yet on the offensive end as she tallied her second assist of the game in the 21st minute. She found Scott open on the right side of the field near the box and Scott sent the shot into the left corner of the net pass the goalkeeper's reach. Eldridge's two assists are the first of her career.
Scott was not finished yet as she scored the next two goals for Central Missouri. In the 21st minute Scott handled the ball into the middle of the box and sent it into to left corner of the net again to push the Jennies lead to 3-0 entering halftime.
In the second half, Scott scored her fourth goal of the game in the 62nd minute as she and Pyle teamed up for the second time. Pyle sent her pass from the right side of the field where Scott took it down the middle and nailed her shot to left corner of the net.
Pyle's two assists give her five for the season and 19 for her career. She now moves into fourth all-time in program history in career assists as she passed Hazel Cox (2005-08) who has 18. Pyle's point total also bumped to 77.
Scott's four goals and eight points are career-high for her in a match. Her previous high was three goals and six points which she did against Southwest Baptist on Nov. 10, 2015. The last time a Jennies soccer player scored four goals in a game was on Sept. 18, 1995 by Sarah Bourn against Southwest Baptist. Scott's four goals also moved her career total to 26, which moves her into eighth all-time in program history. Her career point total also moved up to 62 which ranks her ninth all-time in program history.
Missouri Western got on the board in the 75th minute when Maddy Cowell hit a corner kick to the middle of the box, where Sarah Blakley hit to the middle of the net.
With a 5-1 lead for the Jennies with less than 15 minutes remaining, the Griffons were called for a foul near the box prompting a penalty kick. Waner lined up the kick and sent it into upper left end of the net after it deflected off the goalkeeper's hands into the left corner.
Offensively, the Jennies finished with 16 total shots, 13 shots on goal, and tallied four assists. Their six goals in a game also matched a season high.
Defensively, the Jennies allowed 10 shots total, six shots on goal, and gave up their first goal at home this season. Their three goals allowed during the regular season is the least amount in program history.
The Jennies will be back in action on Wednesday Nov. 2 as they host Washburn in a MIAA Quarterfinals matchup. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
