WARRENSBURG, Mo. (Oct. 28, 2016)-- The fourth-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer team pushed their winning streak to six straight games after a 2-0 shutout victory over Lindenwood Friday night at Jennies Field. Central Missouri improves to 15-1 overall, 9-1 in the MIAA, and 7-0 at home.

Emily Eldridge both scored in the second half to secure the Jennies seventh win at home. In net, junior
Ana Dilkes had seven saves to pick up her 15th win of the season. Dilkes still has yet to allow a goal in her 15 wins and at home this season.
Both teams came out strong offensively to start the game. The Jennies took four shots while the Lions had three in the first 10 minutes of play. Wind played a major factor in passing as both teams struggled to find any rhythm the rest of the period. Both teams went into halftime with nine shots a-piece, with the Lions having five shots on goals to the Jennies six.
The Jennies picked up the pace both ways to start the second half taking five shots in the first 10 minutes and limiting the Lions to just one.
The Jennies pressure paid off in the 66th minute when Scott nailed a shot from the middle of the box off a right side pass from senior
Hannah Pyle. Scott controlled Pyle's pass and sent it high pass the goalkeeper's reach. Scott's goal is her 10th of the season, while Pyle' assist is her third.
With Scott's goal Friday night she now 22 for her career and put her 10th all-time in program history. She passed Carly Stanley (2010-13) who has 21. Her goal also bumped her career point total to 54, which moves her into a tie for 10th all-time in program history with Alyssa Rhodes (2008-11).
The Jennies cushioned their lead in the 75th minute when Eldridge scored her second goal of the season. Junior
Taylor Thompson sent a corner kick into the middle of the box where the goalkeeper tried to grab it but lost control and Eldridge sent the ball into an empty net.
Offensively, Central Missouri finished with 23 total shots and 13 shots on goal.
Defensively, the Jennies continued to show their dominance holding the Lions to just three shots in the second half to finish with 12 for the game. The Jennies have yet to allow a goal in their 15 wins and at home. Their two goals allowed this season is the least amount in program history through 16 games.
The Jennies will close out the regular season Sunday Oct. 30 as they host Missouri Western. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
