EMPORIA, Kan. (Oct. 14, 2016)-- The fourth-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer team won their fifth conference game on Friday afternoon with a 1-0 shutout win over Emporia State on the road. The Jennies improve to 11-1 overall and 5-1 in the MIAA.

Jada Scott scored the lone goal for the Jennies and her third game winner of the season early in the second half. In net, junior
Ana Dilkes grabbed four saves in eight shots faced to pick up her 11th win of the season. Dilkes still has yet to allow a goal in her 11 wins this season.
The Hornets controlled the majority of the first half on both sides of the ball holding the Jennies to just five total shots and one shot on goal, while taking four shots on goal. Although the Hornets controlled the pace, both teams entered halftime scoreless.
In the second half, the Jennies came out applying pressure right away taking three shots in the first three minutes. Their pressure paid off in the 49th minute with Scott scoring her fifth goal of the season on a penalty kick after she was fouled by the Hornets.
Offensively, the Jennies picked up the pace in the second half and finished the match with 16 total shots and five shots on goal.
Defensively, the Jennies limited the Hornets in the second half to just one shot total. For the game, the Jennies allowed eight total shots and four shots on goal. The Jennies defense still has yet to allow a goal in their 11 wins this season.
The Jennies final road game of the regular season is Sunday, Oct. 16 in Topeka, Kan. against the Washburn Ichabods. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
