SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The seventh-ranked Jennies soccer team opened the 2015 campaign with a 6-0 shutout over Minnesota-Duluth Friday afternoon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The Jens were able to get a couple shots off early with the first shot resulting in a miss wide right and the second ending with a save by the goalkeeper. Sophomore midfielder
Kayla Hamner scored UCM's first goal of the season in the 33rd minute from the top of the box. The Jennies got off four more shots before the end of the first half, but were unable to hit the back of the net on any of their attempts.

Megan Woolley extended the Jennies lead to 2-0 seven minutes into the second half hitting the top right corner of the goal. Freshman forward
Emily Griffin added another goal in the 62nd minute to give the Jens a 3-0 lead, it was the first goal of her collegiate career.
The Jens added two more goals over the next five minutes with goals from sophomore forward
Mikala Modiri and junior forward
Hannah Pyle. Freshman forward
Courtney Killian was credited with assists on both of the goals. Pyle's goal was her 21st of her career and moves her into sole possession of 10th place on the Jennies all-time goals list.
Griffin scored UCM's final, and her second, goal of the night in the final minutes of the match to complete the 6-0 victory.

Ana Dilkes got the victory after playing 80:47 in goal and recording two saves. Junior goalkeeper
Maddie Waner played 9:13 in goal and recorded one save.
The Jennies outshot Minnesota-Duluth 18-6 in the win.
The Jennies are back in action on Sunday at 2 p.m. against the host school, Augustana.
