Box Score (HTML) | Season Stats MARYVILLE, Mo. -- The No. 2 Jennies Soccer team went on the road to face Northwest Missouri and came away with a 6-1 victory.
The Jennies opened the scoring in the sixth minute on a goal from
Jada Scott, her second of the year
. Scott shot the ball into the top-left corner of the net after receiving a throw-in pass.
Scott scored again in the 48th minute to make it a 2-0 game. The goal came off of an assist from Hannah Pyle.The Jens made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute when
Megan Woolley received a throw-in from
Kayla Hamner and slid the ball past the goalkeeper. Woolley scored again in the 59th minute to extend the lead to 4-0. The goals were her third and fourth of the season.
Mikala Modiri scored her fifth goal of the season 41 seconds later from close range to give the Jennies a 5-0 lead.
Julie Ireland scored the Jennies final goal of the day in the 60th minute after she beat the defenders and shot from the top of the box.
Northwest Missouri scored their only goal of the game in the 81st minute
The Jennies outshot the Bearcats 22-4.
The win improves the Jennies record to 6-0-0, while Northwest Missouri falls to 1-2-2.
The Jennies are back in action Friday, September 25 at 7 p.m. at home against Emporia State.
