Next up for the Jennies Winners of their last two games, the Jennies (14-8, 8-6 MIAA) head to Jefferson City, Missouri to complete their regular season series against the Lincoln Blue Tigers on Wednesday, February 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Entering the week, UCM sits in fifth place and is just a half game behind Missouri Southern for the fourth spot in the MIAA standings.
The Jennies took the first matchup of the season back on January 21 in the form of a 79-67 win. Five Jennies scored in double-figures in that victory, including a double-double from senior forward
Revonnia Howard (17 points, 10 rebounds). The bench produced 18 points for head coach
Dave Slifer as well.
Kelsey Williams and Hunter Yoakum are both averaging 12.3 points for Lincoln this season, tied for the team lead. Williams is pulling down a team-best 5.1 rebounds per game and is first in assists with 64.

Last Time Out The Jennies avenged a January 31 road loss at Missouri Southern with a 13-point win against the Lions on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Multipurpose Building.
Senior
Revonnia Howard tallied her fourth double-double in the past five games with a 19-point, 10-rebound performance against Missouri Southern. The Chicago, Illinois native added three blocks, moving her one behind Dawn Thomas for seventh place on the Jennies' all-time list (81). Junior
Shelby Winkelmann added 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting to go with a team-high three assists.
Central Missouri (14-8, 8-6 MIAA) got off to a fast start, running out of the gates with a 7-2 lead in the first 3:51.
The Jennies went on a 12-5 run over the next 7:45 to take a commanding 19-7 advantage. Howard scored seven of her 19 points in the first 12 minutes.
Missouri Southern jumped back into the game, going on an 8-0 run to cut the Jennies' lead to 19-15 with 6:30 left to play in the opening half. However, UCM's defense held the Lions scoreless for the rest of the half, scoring six unanswered points to take a 25-15 advantage into the intermission.
The Jennies outscored Missouri Southern, 14-6 in the paint and converted eight points off of six Lions turnovers in the first 20 minutes.
After the Lions scored the first four points of the second half to cut the deficit to six, Howard and Winkelmann combined for four points to bump their advantage back to double-digits, 29-19.
A 9-0 run by Missouri Southern ensued over the next 2:21, as the Jennies saw their 10-point lead dwindle to a single point at 29-28.
The Jennies' offense responded with an 11-2 run of their own to re-claim a 10 point lead with 9:48 to go. Sophomore
Andee Wahlert hit a three-pointer as the shot clock expired with 10:18 to go that put the Jennies up, 38-30. Central Missouri continued their offensive spurt scoring the game's next 11 points to put the game in doubt at 51-30. Winkelmann's three-pointer capped off the scoring run for the Jennies.
UCM's lead never dipped below nine for the rest of the game as the Jennies defeated Missouri Southern for the seventh time in the last eight meetings.

Slifer By The Numbers Slifer is 32nd on the all-time wins list for all NCAA coaches with 593.
Slifer is sixth among all Division II coaches with 593 wins and is ninth among all Division II coaches with a .739 winning percentage.
Slifer needs seven wins to reach 600 in his 25-year coaching career.
Howard's Double-Doubles Senior foward
Revonnia Howard collected her fourth double-double in the past five games in the win against Missouri Southern last Saturday. This season, she has nine double-doubles to add to her six from a year ago.
Holding Opponents Under 50 For the third time this season, the Jennies limited an opponent to under 50 points, this one coming in a 61-48 win over the Lions. The Jennies are 3-0 in such games.
The 48 points is the second-lowest total for any UCM opponent, passing Newman, who netted 47 points back on November 21. Nebraska-Kearney scored just 49 points against the Jennies on Jan. 3 in Kearney.
Buckling Down On D The Jennies defense held Missouri Southern to 27.6% shooting from the floor (16-of-58) last Saturday, a season-low for an opponent. It is the lowest opponent field goal percentage in a game since UCM's contest against Rollins College last season on November 16, 2013. In that game, Central Missouri limited the Tars to 24.7% shooting (18-of-73).
Double-Digit Boards The Jennies have had one player haul in at least 10 rebounds in six straight games. It is the longest streak for the team this season. Central Missouri had a seven-game streak of double-digit rebounds for one player from Feb. 16-March 15, 2013.
Rebound Machine Senior forward
Revonnia Howard has been an asset on the boards this season for the Jennies. Her 9.2 rebounds per game is currently third in the MIAA entering this week. Seventy-one of her 202 rebounds have been on the offensive end, both team highs. Her 71 offensive rebounds are currently fourth-best in the MIAA.
She is one of three Jennies (
Justina Prairie Chief,
Jasmine Thompson) to pull down 100 rebounds this season. She is the only Jennie to have 100 defensive rebounds this season as well.
Howard pulled down a career-high 21 rebounds in the 73-65 overtime win against Quincy on Nov. 24. Howard's 21 rebounds in a single-game are tied for fourth-most in UCM history.
The Chicago, Illinois native was the first Jennie to record at least 20 rebounds since Jojuana Jones hauled in 21 boards on March 6, 2008 in the first round of the MIAA Tournament against SBU (89-80 loss).
Block Party Howard has blocked 38 shots this season, bumping her career total to 81. The 81 blocks are one short of tying Dawn Thomas for seventh-place on the Jennies' all-time list.
Near The Top In Steals Through 22 games this season, the Jennies rank second in the MIAA in steals per game with 8.6. Their 190 total steals are third-most among teams in the MIAA, trailing only Fort Hays State (213) and Pittsburg State (195).
Prairie Chief's Point Streak Snapped Senior guard
Justina Prairie Chief was held to just seven points in the win against Missouri Southern on Saturday, snapping a career-best 10-game streak of double-digit points.
Consistent Numbers This season, the Jennies are averaging 67.0 points and allowing 63.9 points per game in conference games, while in regular season games they are averaging 68.0 points per game and allowing 63.2 points per contest.

Shelby Winkelmann was the team's leading scorer. In the last two games, Howard has finished as the high scorer for the Jennies, tallying 22 and 19 points, respectively.
Defensive Boards In its 61-48 win over Missouri Southern, UCM hauled in a season-high 35 defensive rebounds. It was the highest defensive rebound total in a game for the Jens since March 8, 2014 against Fort Hays State (34).
Road Warriors This season through 10 road games and 10 home games, the Jennies are averaging 70.4 points per game on the road as opposed to 65.4 points per game in Warrensburg. Junior

Excelling In The Classroom The Jennies experienced plenty of success both on and off the court last season with eight MIAA Academic Honor Roll selections, for earning at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

The Jennies were ranked in the Top 25 for 33 consecutive weeks from January of 2013-December of 2014. This season, the Jennies faced four opponents (Fort Hays State, Emporia State, Pittsburg State and Drury) that currently sit in the Top 25, finishing with a record of 1-3.
