WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The No. 10 Jennies Soccer pitched its 11th shutout of the season on their way to a 3-0 win over Northwest Missouri State on Senior day.
The Jens had the first shot of the day in the second minute when
Jada Scott sent one flying over the net.
The Jennies' first goal of the game came in the 17th minute when
Baylie Edwards found
Megan Woolley with a pass, who then beat the keeper and put the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal. The goal was Woolley's ninth of the season.
The second goal came from
Abby Rhodes in the 48th minute. Rhodes received a pass from
Jada Scott, then scored into the bottom right corner of the goal. The goal was her second of the season.
The third and final goal came from
Julie Ireland in the 69th minute. Ireland beat two defenders, then fired the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal for her 11th goal of the season. Woolley was credited with the assist on the goal. With that goal, Ireland takes sole possession of fourth place in Jennies program history in goals with 34.
Ana Dilkes played 78:37 in goal for the Jennies are recorded two saves.
Maddie Waner played the remaining 11:23 and did not face any shots.
The win improves UCM's record to 14-2, and 7-2 in the MIAA, while the Bearcats fall to 3-9-3 overall, and 2-6-1 in the MIAA.
The Jens are back in action Friday at 6 p.m. as they travel to St. Charles, Missouri to take on Lindenwood. The Jennies beat Lindenwood 7-0 earlier this season.
