Final Results
PITTSBURG, Kan.-- Central Missouri Track & Field finished the Pittsburg State University Wendy's Open on Saturday with several place winners.
Heavin Warner,
Nikki Douglas,
Mary Riley, and
Chris Swearingin all earned provisional marks.
Warner earned her provisional mark in shot put, finishing first at 46' 2.75''. She was also first in hammer throw (200' 3''), and fourth in discus (128' 4''). Douglas won the 400m hurdles with a provisional mark at 1:02.63, she was also second in the 100m hurdles (14.66). Riley was third in the javelin, and had a provisional mark at 141' 3''. Swearingin also earned a provisional mark in javelin, finishing second at 209' 6''.
Devin Claypool and
George Charalambous tied for first in the high jump at 6' 6.75''. Teammate
Kelvin Frank was fourth (6' 2.75'').
Jessica Fennewald was eighth in long jump at 16' 8.5''. Levi Hughart finished sixth in the hammer throw (164' 1''), while
Haley Heuer was fourth (151' 2''), and
Amy Dorge was seventh (133' 7'') in the women's competition. Heuer and Dorge also placed fifth and eighth in discus respectively, at 127' and 123' 7''.
Jacob Prindle had a 151' 9'' throw in discus to earn sixth place.
Jacob Mahin had a 51' 5.5'' throw in the shot put to earn him fourth place.
Billy Leutzinger was eighth in pole vault (14' 2'').
Ralph Watson was sixth in the 110m hurdles at 15.64.
Brad Banowetz and
Lindell Watkins were fifth and sixth respectively in the 400m hurdles, at 55.92 and 56.16.
Clarissa Thomas took seventh in the 200m dash (25.96), while
Kendall Preston was third (21.92),
Marquis Jones was sixth (22.10), and
Chase McCoy was seventh (22.11). Preston, Jones, and McCoy also placed in the 100m dash back-to-back. Preston was fourth at 10.86, Jones was fifth at 10.87, and McCoy was sixth at 10.88.
Kellin Loch took fifth in the 400m dash at 49.14.
Ben Barrows had the fastest time in the 5000m run, at 15:13.72, while teammate
Spencer Hudson was fourth at 15:22.19.
Megan Glamann was second in the event at 17:47.45.
Several UCM relay teams placed in the 4x400 relay. The women were first at 3:58.15, while the men took third (3:22.77), fourth (3:24.73), and fifth (3:25.76).
The UCM Track & Field team will resume competetion next Saturday at the Emporia State Relays in Emporia, Kan. The meet will begin at 10:30 a.m.
