Jennies third, Mules fourth at MIAA Track & Field Championships

The Central Missouri track and field teams finished the final day of the MIAA Championship with 25 placing in individual events, and nine All-MIAA honorees. The Jennies finished third in the team standings, while the Mules came in fourth.

All top three finishers earned All-MIAA honors. 

Hevin Warner earned another provisional mark and first place finish with a 61'2'' throw in the weight throw. She also was sixth in shot put (43'1.5''). Haley Heuer was eighth in the weight throw at 51'8.5''.

Jacob Mahin was third in shot put (53'2.75'') and Brooke Swearingin was seventh in the women's shot put (42'10.25'').

The women's 4x400 relay team was also first. Nikki Douglas, Kailey Fuchs, Erin Alewine, and Katie Cassidy finished in 3:52.27. The men's 4x400 relay team of Cole Davis, Marquis Jones, Devin Claypool, and Kellin Loch were fourth at 3:20.12.

Meelis Siimson was second in the long jump, at 24'1.5'', and Alewine was sixth at 18'4.25''. Alewine was fourth in the high jump, Madison Smith was second at 5'8''. Claypool and Charalambous finished the high jump third, with a 6'8'' jump. 

Smith finished fifth in the 60m hurdles (8.72) and Douglas was seventh (8.89). Joseph Holland finished eighth (8.68).

Megan Glamann was fifth in both the 5000m run and the 3000m run, with a time of 17:57.18 and 10:16.53 respectively. Tyler Stuber also placed in both events. He was seventh in the 5000m run (15:03.37) and fourth in the 3000m run (8:39.65).

Clarissa Thomas was fifth in the 400m dash (56.75). Kendall Preston was eighth in the 200m dash (22.73). 

Loch finished the 800m run in 1:53.33, earning third place, while teammate Cole Davis was fourth at 1:54.80.

Fuchs was fourth in the 600 yard run (1:26.24). Ross Lorber was third at 1:14.15, and Ryan Mixdorf was sixth at 1:15.07.

The team has a week off before competing in the NCAA-II Indoor Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C. on March 14 and 15.
