ALLENDALE, Mich.-- The Mules and Jennies had nine provisional marks and twelve place winners in the GVSU Big Meet on Friday. 

George Charalambous placed third in the high jump (6' 8.25"), and long jump (23' 4.5"), both jumps earning a provisional mark. Madison Smith earned a provisional mark and placed second in the high jump, with a 5' 6.5" jump. 

Clarissa Thomas and Michael Lockhart both earned provisional marks in the 400 M dash. Thomas finished seventh at 55.98, and Lockhart finished eighth at 48.87. 

Kellin Loch finished tenth in the 800 meter run, with a provisional mark at 1:52.21. Adam Tredway was twelfth in the mile run at 4:11.48, another provisional mark for the team. 

Both UCM 4x400 relay teams placed sixth and earned provisional marks. The team of Nikki Douglas, Erin Alewine, Kailey Fuchs, and Thomas finished in 3:48.59. The men's team of Daniel McCarty, Lockhart, Osvaldo Granillo, and Loch finished in 3:15.45. 

Fuchs also was fourth in the 600 M run at 1:35.17. Katie Cassidy was ninth at 1:37.32. Ross Lorber was second in the 600 M run at 1:21.61.

UCM will return home next week for the UCM Classic. The meet will begin at 2 p.m. in the UCM Multipurpose Building.
