WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Freshman midfielder Taylor Thompson's first collegiate goal lifted the No. 13 Jennies over Fort Hays State in a narrow 2-1 overtime victory Sunday afternoon.

The win was the team's seventh in a row and kept the Jennies (9-0-1, 6-0-0 MIAA) unbeaten this season.

Sophomore forward Hannah Pyle broke the scoreless tie in the 10th minute cleaning up a loose ball in front of the Tigers' net, collecting her third goal in 2014.

Central Missouri took a 1-0 lead into halftime and carried it through the majority of the second half, before Fort Hays State's Jordan Hester took a free kick from Mallory Diederich and beat UCM's goalkeeper from about 20 feet out from the center of the box.

In the 96th minute in overtime, Thompson unleashed a shot from about 30 yards out from the right side and found the back of the net for the 2-1 win.

Jennies freshman goalkeeper Ana Dilkes saved two shots, while allowing one score to Fort Hays State. Her record moves to 9-0-1 on the season.

UCM's seven-game win streak is the longest since 2011. The Jennies' all-time record against Fort Hays State improves to 4-0-1.

The Jennies will host Missouri Southern next Friday, October 10 at 7 p.m.
