WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- The No. 13 Jennies soccer team ran their winning streak to six games Friday night, downing Nebraska-Kearney, 3-0 at the South Recreation Complex.

Following 39 minutes of scoreless soccer, the Jennies (8-0-1, 5-0-0 MIAA) got on the scoreboard when freshman Baylie Edwards took a corner kick from Mikala Modiri and kicked it out left to Abby Rhodes who smoked the ball past the Lopers goalkeeper. The goal was the first of the season for the Olathe, Kansas native.

With a 1-0 lead in the second half, freshman Alex Yockey drew a foul from the Loper defense and capitalized on a penalty kick, providing UCM with a 2-0 cushion. The goal was Yockey's sixth this year, a team high.

Freshman Mikala Modiri capped off the scoring for the Jennies with a score in the 84th minute, securing the 3-0 victory and keeping UCM unbeaten this season.

Goalkeeper Ana Dilkes picked up the win, improving to 8-0-1 in 2014. She saved four shots and earned her sixth shutout.

Central Missouri improves to 3-0-1 all-time against Nebraska-Kearney.

The Jennies will return to action on Sunday, October 5 for a 1 p.m. matchup against Fort Hays State at the South Recreation Complex.
