The last time out...
Mules wrestling had five place-finishers at the annual Roger Denker Open Sunday at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The Mules were paced by
Tim Tuaquoi, who finished runner-up at 285 pounds with an impressive 4-1 record.
Mitchell Bradley placed fourth at 125 pounds, going 3-2, while
Laramie Allembaugh finished just behind Bradley at fifth while posting a 1-3 record.
Jacob Clark finished ffith at 285 pounds wrestling unattached, going 4-2, while
Brandon Russow took home sixth at 157 pounds in his first wrestling action since last season and went 3-1.
Next up...
The Mules trek north to Kirksville, Mo. to battle the Truman Bulldogs in their first MIAA road dual of the season. The Mules fell to MIAA foes Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State in their first two conference duals last Sunday and Tuesday at the Multipurpose Building. UCM dropped the dual to top-ranked Nebraska-Kearney 37-9 and fell to No. 19 Fort Hays State 31-9. The dual against the Bulldogs Wednesday is set for a 7:30 p.m. start at Pershing Arena.
Series history with Truman...
Wednesday's dual with the Bulldogs will mark the 53rd meeting all-time between the two programs. The Mules currently hold a 36-15-1 advantage in the series. Last season Truman defeated the Mules in Kirksville 33-20. The last Mule win came in the 2010-11 season when UCM defeated Truman 25-18.
