Mules wrestling announce new additions to 2011-12 roster

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – Mules wrestling head coach Justin Ensign announced the addition of several new wrestlers to the 2011-12 roster.  Below is a complete list of all the new wrestlers.
 
Ryan Badey – 157/165, Freshman, Lindenwold, N.J., Sterling Somerdale High School
Badey was a four-time district place winner and district champion in 2011 for Sterling Somerdale High School.  He was a regional place winner twice and had a career record of 107-30 while at Sterling Somerdale.    He plans on majoring in Criminal Justice.
 
Ty Balty – 125, Freshman, Rogersville, Mo., Logan-Rogersville High School
Balty was a two-time conference champion while at Logan-Rogersville High School as well as a one-time district champion and state qualifier.  Balty plans on majoring in Exercise Science.
 
Seth Buhman – 157, Freshman, Maysville, Mo., Maysville R-1 High School
Buhman comes to UCM as a freshman after being District Champion at Maysville R-1 High School.  He was also was a four-time state placer while at Maysville and had a career record of 174-14.  Buhman was a two-time academic all-state selection.  He plans on majoring in Physical Therapy.
 
Jesse Conaway – 133, Freshman, Rolla, Mo., Rolla High School
Conaway was the 2009 Greco State Champion as well as Army National Champion.  He was a three-time state qualifier, district champion and two-time conference champion while at Rolla High School.  Conaway is also a Brute-Adidas All-American.  Conaway plans on majoring in English.
 
Hassan Dean – 141, Freshman, Kansas City, Mo., Raytown High School
Dean was a state qualifier as well as a two-time all-conference selection at Raytown High School.  In his senior year, he went an impressive 30-10.
 
Christan Dowling – 184, Freshman, Boonville, Mo., Boonville High School
Dowling was a two-time state qualifier at Boonville High School.  He was also named first team all-district and all-conference.
 
Jordan Hinton – 133, Freshman, St. Louis, Mo., Hayfield High School (Alexandria, Va.)
Hinton comes to UCM after wrestling at Hayfield High School in Alexandria, Va.  He was a two-time letter winner while at Hayfield.  Hinton plans on majoring in Engineering Technology.
 
Blake Hooe – 141, Freshman, Jackson, Mo., Jackson High School
Hooe comes to UCM after being named all-conference, all-district and qualifying for state at Jackson High School.  He was a four year varsity letterman.  Hooe plans on pursuing a Nursing major.
 
Haylon Jacobs – 197/HW, Freshman, Mexico, Mo., Mexico High School
Jacobs comes to UCM after claiming a state title with Mexico High School his senior year and finishing third in the state his junior year.  He is a three-time state qualifier and two-time all-conference selection.
 
Jared Love – 174/184, Freshman, Kearney, Mo., Kearney High School
Love comes to UCM after graduating from Kearney High School.  While a Bulldog he was a three-time state medalist, including a second place finish his freshman year.  Love plans on pursuing a Physical Education major. 
 
Kirk Luzano – 125, Junior, Knob Noster, Mo., North Iowa Area Community College
Luzano is a transfer from North Iowa Area Community College.  He graduated from Knob Noster High School (Mo.) and was a two-time state champion for the panthers.  He plans on pursuing a Nursing major.
 
Kevin McElroy – 125, Freshman, Norfolk, Va., Warrensburg High School (Warrensburg, Mo.)
McElroy comes to UCM as a freestyle state champion.  He was all district champion his freshman year at Warrensburg High School.  McElroy placed sixth in the state at 125 pounds.  He was a three-time state qualifier and placed third in districts three straight years.  McElroy was also a three time West Central Conference champion for Warrensburg High School. 
 
Jacob Reiman – 174, Freshman, Holden, Mo., Holden High School
Reiman was a perfect 46-0 and claimed the state title his senior year at Holden High School.  He finished second in the state his junior year and third his sophomore year.  Reiman was a four-time varsity letterman at Holden. 
 
Sanders – 184, Freshman, Blue Springs, Mo., Blue Spring High School
            Sanders comes to UCM as a three-time Brute National Champion, three-time Greco State Champion, and two-time Freestyle State Champion.  He finished in sixth place at Fargo Nationals and was a three-time state qualifier while at Blue Springs High School.  Sanders was also a two-time district runner-up and a four-time letter winner.  Sanders plans on majoring in Business Administration.
 
Gage Shaddox – 149, Freshman, Kansas City, Mo., Liberty High School
Shaddox comes to UCM as a four-time state qualifier, one of those finishing third in the state. 
 
Taylor Spackler – 125, Freshman, Clinton, Mo., Clinton High School
Spackler comes to Central Missouri as a three-time state qualifier.  He was a three-time all-conference selection and compiled a career record of 136-32.  He plans on majoring in Aviation. 
 
William Starks – 157, Freshman, Columbia, Mo., Hickman High School
Starks comes to Central Missouri after wrestling for Columbia-Hickman High School where he was a letterman for the Kewpie wrestling squad.
 
Robert Stewart – 133, Freshman, Bloomfield, Ind., Owen Valley High School (Spencer, Ind.)
Stewart comes to UCM as a two-time state qualifier at Owen Valley High School in Spencer, Ind., finishing as a semifinalist both years. 
 
Brock St. Louis – 165, Freshman, Kansas City, Mo., North Kansas City High School
St. Louis comes to UCM after winning the Class 4 state championship his senior year at North Kansas City High School. 
 
Zach Taylor – 174, Freshman, Grandview, Mo., Buena Vista University (Iowa)
Taylor comes to Central Missouri from Buena Vista University in Iowa, where he compiled a 17-10 record.  Prior to going to Buena Vista, Taylor went the O'Hara High School in Kansas City, Mo., where he was a state qualifier and four-time all-conference wrestler for the Celtics.  His career record was 124-32.  Taylor plans on majoring in General Recreation.  
 
Caleb Titus – 157/165, Freshman, Lone Jack, Mo., Oak Grove High School
Titus comes to Central Missouri as a four-time state qualifier.  He finished state runner-up his junior and senior years and was a three-time district champion.  Titus was also named all-conference three times.  He plans on majoring in Technical Engineering.
 
Christian Van Matre – 285, Freshman, Overland Park, Kan., Shawnee Mission South High School
Van Matre comes to UCM from Shawnee Mission South High School, where he was a four year letterman and was ranked as high as No. 5 in the state of Kansas.  He plans on majoring in Criminal Justice.
 
Nick Viterisi – 141, Senior, Bloomington, Ind., Indiana University
Viterisi comes to UCM after transferring from Indiana University.  While there he was named Freshman of the Year for 2008-2009.  Viterisi attended Bloomington South High School where he finished third in state his senior year and compiled a record of 44-2.  He was also a two-time Freestyle State Champion.  He plans on majoring in Safety Management. 
 
Philip Witt – 184, Senior, Leavenworth, Kan., Leavenworth High School
Witt was a two-time state runner-up at Leavenworth High School.  He is pursuing a Physical Education major at Central Missouri.
