The week ahead
     No. 12 Jennies soccer (14-1-3) claimed their third consecutive MIAA Regular Season Title and the fifth title in the past six seasons with a 4-0 win over Lindenwood Saturday night at the South Recreation Complex. Jennies midfielder Kayla Shain became the all-time career assists leader at UCM after picking up her 23rd assist in the match on a header goal by Alexis Robbers to pass the previous mark of 22 set by Teleshia Joseph from 2001-2003. Along with Robbers header, the Jens got goals from Aaryn Burke, Nicki Wisnasky and Kourtney Frank.
     Thursday the Jennies defeated Truman, 1-0, on a goal from Shain and assist from Kelsie Hanson
     With the win Saturday, the Jennies clinched the top-seed in the MIAA Tournament and will host eighth seed Southwest Baptist Tuesday at the South Recreation Complex. First kick is set for 7 p.m.

Series History
Southwest Baptist: When the Jennies and Bearcats face-off Tuesday night, it will mark the 32nd meeting between the two programs. The Jennies hold a 22-8-1 advantage in the series. The Jennies handed the Bearcats a 2-1 loss earlier this season in Warrensburg on September 28th.

The Coach
Rob Podeyn, Southwest Baptist: Rob Podeyn is in his fourth season as the coach of the Bearcats. He joined the Bearcats in 2009 after serving as director of soccer operations, assistant sports information director and head women's soccer coach at Northwood University, positions he held since 2006. 
     Podeyn is a 1990 graduate of Dowling College in Oakdale, New York, where he obtained a bachelor of arts degree in English. He later earned a master's degree in athletics and activities administration from William Woods University in 2006.

Head Coach Lewis Theobald
     Four-time MIAA Coach of the Year, Lewis Theobald is in his sixth season as head coach at Central Missouri and currently has an impressive 93-17-11 record. 
     With the Jennies 4-2 win over Winona State August 31st, Theobald became the all-time winningest coach in Jennies soccer history.
     He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history. He was the first assistant at Division I Indiana State, where he was the lead recruiter before coming to UCM. 
     He is a 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas. 
Scouting the Bearcats
     The Bearcats enter the MIAA Tournament as the eighth seed. They finished the regular season with an overall record of 7-9-2 and an MIAA mark of 4-6-2. SBU is led in scoring by Karla Jamison with five goals and Ashley Creason with four goals. As a team Southwest Baptist averages 0.98 goals per game while its opponents average 1.03 per game. The Bearcats average 12.9 shots per game while their opponents take 14.2 per game. 
     The Bearcats primary goalkeeper is Megan Link. Link has saved 100 shots, allowing 18 goals for a goals-against-average of 1.05. Her record in-goal is 7-9-1 with six shutouts. 
Racing to the top
     Jennies senior midfielder Kayla Shain became the all-time career leader in assists at Central Missouri with her corner kick that was headed in by Alexis Robbers. Shain now has 23 career assists, surpassing the previous high of 22 set by Teleshia Joseph from 2001-2003. 
     She leads the team in assists with five and also scored her fourth goal last Thursday, the game-winner against Truman, on an assist from fellow senior midfielder Kelsie Hanson.
It's a 3-Peat!
     With the Jennies 4-0 shutout win over Lindenwood Saturday, they clinched their third straight MIAA Regular Season Title and fifth title in the last six seasons, all under head coach Lewis Theobald

     Jennies freshman forward Alexis Robbers scored her ninth goal of the season Saturday night off a Kayla Shain corner kick. Her nine goals leads the Jennies. Robbers is tied for the lead in the MIAA in game-winning-goals (four) and tied for second in the conference for goals scored (nine).
Defensive power
     The Jennies defense ranks first in the MIAA in both goals allowed (have only allowed eight goals all season), shutouts (11 with an average of 0.61/game) and goals-against-average (0.43). Jennies goalkeeper Morgan Hartzler also leads the MIAA in goals-against-average (has only allowed two goals in nine games for an average of 0.23), shutout per game (six in nine games, 0.67/game) and save percentage (24 shots saved for a .923 percentage).
