Ryan Anderson was named the Athletics Media Relations Manager for UCM Athletics in August, 2021.
Anderson, a two-time UCM graduate, joined Central Missouri from Wichita State where he served as an Assistant Director of Communications for the Shockers for three years.
In that role, Anderson was the primary contact for volleyball, baseball, and men's golf. Prior to his arrival in Wichita, Anderson spent five years at North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D., where he was the primary contact for five sports and assisted for two others.
A native of Warrensburg and 2007 Warrensburg High School graduate, Anderson graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a bachelor's degree in broadcast media in 2011 before receiving his master's degree in sports management from UCM in 2013.
He resides in Warrensburg.
Anderson is the son of Kim and Melissa Anderson. He has one younger brother, Brett. His father, Kim, was the head coach for Mules basketball from 2002-2014 and led UCM to the NCAA-II National Championship in 2014, and his aunt, Kathy Anderson, was a standout student-athlete for the Jennies from 1976-80. In addition, Kathy served as an administrator for UCM Athletics for 18 years (2005-2023). Both Kim and Kathy are members of the MIAA, UCM Athletics, and the Missouri Sports Halls of Fame.
