Katie Kirkhart was named an assistant coach for the Jennies basketball program in the summer of 2022. 

Kirkhart arrived in Warrensburg after a standout playing career for NCAA Division II women's basketball powerhouse Drury University in Springfield, Mo. From 2020-22, she helped the Lady Panthers to a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) championships, a Midwest Regional title, and National Runner-Up finish in 2020-21, two Sweet 16 appearances and an Elite Eight showing in 2020-21.

Prior to playing at Drury, Kirkhart was a two-year starter and a three-year student-athlete for Division I Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla. She assisted the Golden Eagles to The Summit League tournament semifinals for three straight seasons from 2017-2020. Kirkhart also played for the women's golf team at ORU.

A native of Muskogee, Okla., Kirkhart graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports management from Oral Roberts in 2019 and received her master's degree in communication in organizational leadership and change from Drury in 2021.
