Alexis McAfee enters her first season as a graduate assistant for the Central Missouri women’s basketball program.
McAfee arrives at UCM after a standout playing career at MIAA member Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., from 2017-2020.
As a student-athlete to the Ichabods, McAfee was named All-MIAA Honorable Mention in 2018-19, and was an MIAA Scholar Athlete in 2019. In addition, she was a three-time selection to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, garnering the honors in 2018, 2019 and 2020. She played and started all 90 games in her career at Washburn, tallying 919 points, 499 rebounds and 244 assists. She wrapped up her career with the Ichabods ranked fifth in career defensive rebounds (366) and 14th in career steals (151).
McAfee graduated with her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Washburn in December of 2020.
