At Johnson County Community College: Won 39 games in two season, throwing one no-hitter and striking out 222 batters in 314.2 innings...named first team all-region honorable mention as a freshman...garnered first team all-region and all-conference as a sophomore...collected nation Pitcher of the Week honors once and Region Pitcher of the Week twice...two-time all-american...ranked fourth in the nation in innings pitched (234.1), ninth in strikeouts (233) and 17th in ERA (1.40) as a sophomore...team was conference champions once and region champions twice
