Before UCM: Was a Second Team All-Northern League linebacker after leading College of the Canyons in tackles with 98 including 49 solo stops ... had five tackles for loss and a sack, while averaging nearly 10 tackles per game ... helped his team to a conference championship in 2013

In high school: Was a two-year letterwinner and a First Team All-Conference selection for head coach Pat Degnan at Quartz Hill High School ... helped his team to a CIF Southern Section Championship ... also a two-year letterwinner in track & field.
