Former Central Missouri Mules standout quarterback Hayden Hawk was hired as the Assistant Head Coach and Quarterbacks Coach in March 2023. He was promoted to Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator in December of 2024.

In just his first season at Central Missouri in 2023, Hawk helped lead the Mules to a MIAA Co-Championship, school record-tying 11-2 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA-II playoffs second round.

He coached 2023 Harlon Hill Award winner and consensus First Team All-American quarterback Zach Zebrowski and assisted the UCM offense to numerous new program and MIAA single-season records, as well as several new NCAA Division II single-season records.

Hawk, who was an All-MIAA quarterback for UCM from 2011-14, returned to Warrensburg after serving as the Offensive Coordinator at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark., from 2018 to 2022.

Under Hawk’s guidance, Henderson State went a combined 26-8 from 2019-2022 and ranked 13th in total offense in 2022 and fourth in total offense in 2021. The Reddies averaged 33 points, 444 yards, 235 passing yards and 209 rushing yards per game in 2022 and 40.55 points, 494 yards, 311 passing yards and 183 rushing yards per game in 2021. He coached three All-Americans, four all-region honorees and 23 all-conference selections while at Henderson State.

Hawk graduated from Central Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science & Statistics in 2014 and received his master’s degree in sport management from Eastern Michigan in 2018.
