2026: Started all 51 games for the Jens behind the plate as a junior ... Finished the season with an MIAA-best 16 home runs during the regular season while having a .319 batting average with 51 hits, including 24 for extra bases, driving in 54 RBI and totaling 107 bases en route to being named an All-MIAA Second Team selection ... Recorded 11 multi-hit performances on the year highlighted by a pair of three hit games against Rockhurst (March 31) and Nebraska-Kearney (April 25) ... Hit two home runs against Maryville (Feb. 7) while driving in a season-best four RBI against Pittsburg State (April 18). 

2025: Started all 49 games for the Jens, splitting time between Catcher and Designated Player for the Jens as a sophomore ... Led the team with a .378 batting average, with a team-best 59 hits, 17 doubles, nine home runs, and 50 RBI, while grabbing a team-best 103 total bases ... Thompson earned NFCA All-Central Region Second Team, D2CCA All-Central Region Second Team, and All-MIAA First Team honors with a 1.099 OPS, a .660 slugging percentage, and a .439 on-base percentage ... Posted 15 multi-hit ballgames on the year, highlighted by a four-hit game with four RBI against Maryville (Feb. 14) ... Garnered College Sports Communicators Academic All-American® Second Team, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District®, Easton / NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete, MIAA Scholar Athlete, and  MIAA Academic Honor Roll accolades for her work in the classroom. 

2024: Played in all 50 games for the Jens making 49 starts... Finished the season with a team-best .301 batting average, .955 OPS, 26 runs scored, 10 doubles, and became just the 11th player in program history with 10 or more homers in a single season earning All-MIAA Honorable Mention accolades... Had 13 multi-hit games including a season-best four against Emporia State (March 23) where she hit two home runs driving in five RBI and scoring twice... Thompson have a season-high five RBI against Newman (April 6) and had a season-best 11 putouts against Oklahoma Baptist (Feb. 18)... Taylor was named an Easton / NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete and MIAA Academic Honor Roll selection for her work in the classroom. 

In High School: Thompson was a standout player for the Noblesville Millers under head coach Deke Bullard... Captured multiple sectional championships along with a regional championship in 2021... In addition to her play on the softball diamond, Thompson has also been a four-year letter winner in football.
