As a Junior: Went 4-4 with a 5.01 ERA in 12 starts last season ... struck out a season-high eight batters in season-opener against Texas A&M-Kingsville (Feb. 1) ... tossed 8.1 innings of two-hit ball in win over Missouri Western (April 20) ... struck out 50 batters in 55.2 innings pitched ... had six games of five or more strikeouts ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

As a Sophomore: A second team All-MIAA selection last season after going 9-2 with a 2.53 ERA in 14 starts ... struck out 68 batters in 81.2 innings of work ... struck out a career-high 10 batters in win at Northwest Missouri (March 16) ... tossed a complete-game shutout against Fort Hays State in the MIAA Tournament ... had three scoreless starts and six starts of six or more strikeouts ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor  Roll for his work in the classroom.

As a Redshirt Freshman: Was 6-2 with a 3.05 ERA in 14 appearances with eight starts ... allowed 65 hits with nine walks and 34 strikeouts in 59.0 innings and had one complete game ... tossed a complete game four-hitter against No. 6 Emporia State in the MIAA Tournament to grab a 2-1 win ... threw six innings allowing just one run on seven hits with five K’s against Millersville at NCAA-II World Series ... MIAA Academic Honor Roll member.

In High School: A two-time all-state selection for head coach Rocky Helm, he helped Maize to the 2006 state title game along with conference and regional titles... he also earned all-league honors three times, including an honorable mention pick at shortstop.
