• MIAA Acadmeic Honor Roll (2024)

2024: Appeared in 18 games making 11 starts for the Jens... Went a perfect 3-for-3 with 4 RBI and a run scored during the 5-0 victory over Northwest Missouri (April 27)... Ranked second on the team with two triples doing so against Nebraska-Kearney (April 12) and Maryville (April 17)... Earned the Easton / NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete and MIAA Acadmeic Honor Roll awards for her work in the classroom. 

Prior to UCM: Shields spent two seasons at St. Louis CC playing in 98 games with a batting average of .446, an on base percentage of .514 and a slugging percentage of .860 in two seasons... Shields was named the NJCAA Region 16 Player of the Year in 2023 after compiling a .477 batting average with 83 hits including 16 home runs driving in 64 RBI. 

High School: Was a three-time varsity letter winner for head coach Lance Richardson at Troy Buchanan High School... Was a two-time 2md Team All-Conference and All-District selection during the 2019 and 2020 seasons helping the Trojans to Conference championships in 2018 and 2020... Batted .423 with seven home runs in 2020 while batting .377 with 10 dingers in 2019... Was also a member of the Trojan basketball team in 2018 that finished runner up in Class 4 while helping them to a Class 5 District championship in 2020. 

Personal: Daughter of Melitta and Gary Shields... Majoring in Agriculture Business at UCM.
