UCM Awards & Honors 
• MIAA Academic Newcomer Award (2023-24)

2023-24: Appeared in one game for the Mules in the season opener against Ouachita Baptist (Nov. 10) recording nine points (going a perfect 4-for-4 from the field) and six rebounds in 21 minutes of play before suffering a season-ending injury... Earned the MIAA Academic Newcomer award for his work in the classroom. 

Before UCM: During the 2022-23 season Nwankwo averaged nine points and 5.4 rebounds in 22 minutes per contest for the New Mexico Junior College Thunderbirds... Prior to his time at NMJC, Nwankwo averaged 13 points and 4.5 rebounds per game for Garden City Community College shooting 41 percent from the field including 34 percent from beyond the arc.

In High School: Nwankwo was a standout player for Putnam City North where he helped the Panthers to back-to-back state championship appearances winning it in 2018... Nwankwo was a First Team All-Conference and Super 5 First Team selection averaging 20 points and six rebounds per game.

Personal: Son of Joseph and Priscilla Nwankwo... Majoring in computer science.
