• MIAA Academic Honor Roll (2018-20)

2019-20
Cross Country: Took a minute off of his personal-best in the 8K, setting a new PR at the MIAA Championships (Oct. 26) where he finished 23rd and ran 25:30.6, placing fourth for the Mules ... Competed in five races scoring for the Mules in all five ... Started the year with a PR in the four-mile at the SBU Invitational (Sept. 7) finishing in 21:05.91 ... Placed fourth at the Gary Stoner Invitational (Oct. 12) running 26:20.02 for the 8K ... Raced at the NCAA Regional Championships and completed the 10K in 33:26.1 ... Made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Indoor Track: Broke out in the 3K posting the Mules fastest time of the season, a PR running 8:42.82 at the Pitt State Invitational (Feb. 1) ... Competed in the event at the MIAA Championship (Feb. 29) placing 16th running 8:50.25 ... Was also on the Mules DMR team at the conference meet which placed fifth running 10:13.96 ... Also set a PR in the 800m running 2:02.77 at the UCM Mule Relays (Feb. 8) and placing fourth. 

2018-19
Cross Country: Ran in seven meets, setting new personal-bests in the 8K and the 10K ... Was UCM's top finisher at the Emporia State Invitational where he ran 28:26.9 ... Set a PR for the 8K distance at the Kansas Rim Rock Classic (Sept. 29), completing the course in 26:30.9 ... Was also second for the Mules at the NCAA Central Region Championship (Nov. 17) where he placed 68th running 32:25.3 for 10K.

Indoor Track: Set a new PR in the mile at the MIAA Championships (Feb. 24) running 4:25.35 and finishing 20th overall ... Opened the season with another PR, this one in the 3K running 9:18.90 at the UCM Invitational (Jan. 18) ... Was third in the 1,000m at the UCM Mule Relays (Feb. 2) running 2:38.53.

Outdoor Track: In four meets, mostly ran the 3,000m steeplechase ... Finished ninth at the conference meet (May 4) running 9:55.28 for the 3K steeple ... Set a PR in that event at the Southwest Baptist Invitational (Apr. 6) running 9:51.18 ... Started the season with a 15:49.90 5K at the WashU Distance Carnival (Mar. 30) for a PR at the distance ... Made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

2017-18
Cross Country: Ran at three different meets, all at different distances ... At the Fort Hays State Tiger open, ran his first career 8K in 27:28.4 ... Ran 21:12.3 for 6K at the Central Methodist Invitational ... Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for the 2017-18 season.

Indoor Track: Ran the mile at the UCM Invitational in 4:43.38 in his only meet of the season.

Outdoor Track: Competed in every distance from 800m-5,000m ... Opened his season with a 4:11.55 in the 1500m, the fourth-fastest time of the season for the Mules ... Placed third in the 3,000m Steeplechase at the MSSU Invitational, running 10:09.25 ... At the UCM Mule Relays, ran 16:02.26 in his first 5K on the track. 

In High School: Ran four years of varsity track and cross country ... Finished 23rd at the 2016 Missouri State Class 3 Cross Country Championships.

Personal: Son of Jeff and Dawn Mentz ... Majoring in Biology.
