As a Junior (2019-20): Gilbert played in 25 games with eight starts, averaging 15 minutes per game...Averaged 4.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game...Shot 37.8% from the field and 25% from the three-point range...Scored a season-high 14 points in the Mules 54-52 upset over No.10 Missouri Southern...Finished the season with 105 points, 44 boards and 14 assists.

Before UCM: Gilbert spent his sophomore season (2018-19) at South Plains (Tex.) Community College, helping the Texans to a 28-6 record, the NJCAA Region V Championship, and a run to the semifinals of the national tournament...Gilbert's best game of the season came against region opponent New Mexico Military Institute, scoring 27 points on 7-8 shooting and 10-10 from the free throw line.

In High School: Gilbert was a standout at Vashon High School, teaming up with fellow Mule Daniel Farris to lead the Wolverines to back-to-back state championships in 2016 and 2017...Gilbert averaged 9.9 points per game his senior season.
