As a junior: Started all 10 games at linebacker in 2013 ... registered third highest tackle total on the team with 65, including 30 solo stops ... had seven tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks to along with an interception and a fumble recovery ... had a career-high 12 tackles with a tackle for loss against Pittsburg State.

As a sophomore: Played in nine games during the 2012 season as a backup linebacker ... registered 12 tackles with six solo stops ... had a career-high six tackles and two pass break-ups in the season-ending win at Fort Hays State.

As a freshman: Appeared in eight games making five tackles on special teams, including three solo stops.

In high school: Head Coach:  Ron Boehmke – The all-time and single season rushing leader in school history, he was a two-time all-league selection, as well as a two-time first-team pick to the All-East County Team ... East County Rookie of the Year as a junior, he was also ESPN Player of the Week during his career, and named the County Player of the Week twice … team captain, he also played linebacker, generating 95 tackles and 10 sacks as a senior … Also a star on the track team, he holds the school records in the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes, as well as the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams … The team captain there as well, he helped the squad team win a league crown and take 20th in the state…  the first athlete in San Diego County to win the 4x100 all four years… He is a three-time all-league and All-CIF performer and posted the second fastest time for a sophomore in the state in the 200 at 21.9… He also competed for the wrestling squad at heavyweight, helping the team to a league title.
