As a junior: Earned honorable mention all-MIAA honors at punter after averaging 39.4 yards on 49 punts with a long of 55 yards ... had 10 kicks downed inside the 20 with 11 fair catches and three touchbacks.

As a sophomore: Started every game at punter, averaging 36.7 yards per punt ... punted the ball 51 times, with a long of 75 yards and four touchbacks, with 12 inside the 20 and 13 fair catches.

As a freshman: Served as the backup punter... saw no game action... redshirted in 2008.

In high school: Head Coach: Chris Allison – The Ozark Athlete of the Year, he led Ozark to the Missouri 4A state semifinals as a senior, earning first-team all-conference, all-district, All-Ozark, and all state as a punter and defensive back… also played quarterback, throwing for 1,150 yards and 17 touchdowns… he averaged 40.2 yards per punt and picked off six passes as a defensive back while ranking third on the team in tackles… a three-sport athlete, he averaged 10 points a game in basketball to earn all-conference and take the team to the final four in the state, and was an all-conference pitcher, going 5-0 as a junior for the baseball team that also won the state title… he also maintained a 3.72 grade-point average.
