ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The University of Central Missouri Mules Golf team made par (840) after tallying 7-over in the final round to claim the title of the MoWest Holiday Inn Express Classic on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at St. Joseph Country Club.
The Mules tallied round scores of 276 (4-under par), 277 (3-under par) Â and 297 (7-over par), totaling 840 to win the tournament. No. 10 Central Oklahoma claimed second at 4-over par 844 (287, 277, 280). Washburn completed an MIAA sweep, taking third place with 849 (282, 285, 282), going 9-over par.Â
Will Boyd finished in second, went 5-under par, carding a 205 (69, 67,69). Boyd recorded four birdies today, for a total of 14 through all three rounds.
Lawson Barks (69, 70, 71) finished in a tie for fifth, making par for 210.
Henry Manning (69, 70, 73) finished in a tie for 10th place, carding a 212 for 2-over.
Brad Storrer (68, 73, 75), who is competing as an individual, and
Archer Schnieders  (72, 70, 74) both finished tied for 22nd atÂ
6-over par for 216,Â
Kale Flinton rounds out the mules with a 219 for 9-over par (69, 71,79), wrapping up the Central Missouri scoring.
Central Oklahoma's Nicholas Canales won the tournament after recording a 7-under par 203 (69, 65, 69).
Central Missouri heads to Andover, Kan., to compete in the Newman Invitational on October 12th and 13th.
