Scene Setter
  • The receiving votes Central Missouri Jennies volleyball team continues MIAA play hosting the Northwest Missouri Bearcats (5-8, 2-1 MIAA) on Tuesday, Sept. 29, for Get the Red Out Night, beginning at 6:00 p.m., before welcoming in No. 8 MoWest Griffons (13-1, 3-0 MIAA), on Friday, Oct. 2, during Cancer Awareness Night inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.
  • Tuesday night's match against the Bearcats will be our annual "Get the Red Out" Night, where fans are encouraged to wear their red UCM gear to the match. 
  • Friday night's contest against the Griffons will be our annual Cancer Awareness Night, in partnership with the Johnson County Cancer Foundation, as fans will receive a cancer ribbon of their choice upon entry into the arena. 
  • The Jens went 2-1 last week, with a pair of sweeps over the Maryville Saints (8-6, 3-0 GLVC) at home on Tuesday, Sept. 22, before taking down the Newman Jets (5-12, 1-3 MIAA) on Saturday, Sept. 26, inside Fugate Gymnasium in Wichita, Kan.
  • Central Missouri's lone loss of the week came on Friday, Sept. 25, as they fell to the receiving votes Central Oklahoma Bronchos (12-5, 2-2 MIAA) by a final score of 1-3 (22-25, 25-18, 22-25, 13-25) inside Hamilton Field House in Edmond, Okla.
  • The Jens are receiving votes in the latest AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches' Association) Taraflex Division II poll, released on Monday, Sept. 28. Central Missouri is one of six teams from the MIAA conference featured in the poll, including No. 6 Nebraska-Kearney, No. 8 MoWest, No. 14 Washburn, and No. 17 Emporia State, while Central Oklahoma is also receiving votes.

Meet the Jens
  • Central Missouri returns 12 players from last year's squad, while adding two transfers, and four freshmen.
  • Middle blocker/Opposite Ashlynn Jaccard spent the previous two seasons playing for Cowley CC (Kan.) while sophomore Bella Holcomb transferred from Butler CC (Kan.).  
  • Setter Chloe Rauner (Omaha, Neb.), outside hitter Nora Wiley (Quincy, Ill.), middle blocker/right side Mia Lieberman (Caseyville, Ill.), and defensive specialist/libero Evynn Olsen (Omaha, Neb.) are entering their first season of collegiate volleyball.  
 
Series History
  • Northwest Missouri: Tuesday night will be the 115th match between the Bearcats and Central Missouri all-time, with the Jens holding a 102-12 advantage after both teams split the two-match set a season ago, with the home teams winning both matches.  
  • No. 8 MoWest: Friday night will be the 102nd meeting all-time between MoWest and the Jens, with Central Missouri claiming victory in 92 matches. A season ago, the Griffons won the lone meeting in four sets inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.
