DALLAS – University of Central Missouri Jennies Golf wrapped up the opening day of competition at the Dallas Baptist University Classic on Monday, Sept. 28, at the Dallas Athletic Club.
The Jennies tallied a 36-hole team score of 49-over par 625 (318, 307) and sit tied for ninth after two rounds in the tournament that features nine teams that are ranked in the WGCA Preseason Coaches' Poll.
No. 4 Barry sits atop the team leaderboard through two rounds at 8-over par 584 (292, 292), while No. 3 Anderson (S.C.) is in second at 9-over 585 (293, 292). No. 1 Dallas Baptist (297, 291) and No. 11 St. Mary's (303, 285) are tied for third at 12-over 588, rounding out the top three.
Addy Davis leads UCM on the leaderboard through day one, firing a 36-hole 1-under par 143 (74, 69) to tie for fifth.
Ansley Giesselmann is tied for 44th at 14-over par 158 (82, 76),
Hannah Mottert is tied for 49th at 15-over par 159 (80, 79),
Libby Green is 66th with a two-round 22-over par 166 (83, 83), and
DeLaney Daniels is tied for 68th at 24-over par 168 (82, 86), rounding out the Central Missouri scoring. Â
St. Mary's Taylor Wilczek (74, 66) and Barry's Tereza Zavrelova (67, 73) are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 4-under par 140.
The third and final round is slated for Tuesday, Sept. 29, in Dallas.
