The receiving votes Central Missouri Jennies volleyball team welcomes the Maryville Saints (7-5, 2-0 GLVC) on Tuesday, Sept. 22, for the 2026 Home Opener and Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center 50th Anniversary Night, with first-serve beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Warrensburg.
The Jens continue MIAA play on the road with a pair of matches this weekend, beginning Friday, Sept. 25, against Central Oklahoma Bronchos (10-5, 0-2 MIAA), at 5:00 p.m., inside Hamilton Field House in Edmond, Okla., before taking on the Newman Jets (4-10, 0-2 MIAA) at 11:00 a.m., inside Fugate Gymnasium in Wichita, Kan.
The Jens are receiving votes in the latest AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches' Association) Taraflex Division II poll, released on Monday, Sept. 21. Central Missouri is one of six teams from the MIAA conference featured in the poll, including No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney, No. 8 MoWest, No. 15 Washburn, and No. 17 Emporia State, while Central Oklahoma is also receiving votes.
Central Missouri went 2-1 in three matches this past week, highlighted by a pair of MIAA sweeps over the Arkansas-Fort Smith Lions (12-3, 1-1 MIAA) and the Northeastern State RiverHawks (1-11, 0-2 MIAA).

Meet the Jens

Central Missouri returns 12 players from last year's squad, while adding two transfers and four freshmen.
Middle blocker/Opposite Ashlynn Jaccard spent the previous two seasons playing for Cowley CC (Kan.), while sophomore Bella Holcomb transferred from Butler CC (Kan.).
Setter Chloe Rauner (Omaha, Neb.), outside hitter Nora Wiley (Quincy, Ill.), middle blocker/right side Mia Lieberman (Caseyville, Ill.), and defensive specialist/libero Evynn Olsen (Omaha, Neb.) are entering their first season of collegiate volleyball.

Series History

Maryville: Tuesday night will be the first-ever match up between the Saints and Central Missouri.
RV Central Oklahoma: Friday night will be the 31st all-time meeting between the Bronchos and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding a 22-8 advantage. Both teams split the two-match set a season ago, with the visiting teams winning both matches.
Newman: Saturday morning will be the 18th meeting all-time between Newman and the Jens, with Central Missouri claiming victory in each of the previous matches. A season ago, the Jens swept both matches, including scores of 25-14, 25-12, and 25-14 in Warrensburg on Saturday, Oct. 11, when former libero Grace Winkelmann collected her 1,700th career dig.

Jens By the Numbers

Through 14 matches of play in the 2026 season, Central Missouri is averaging 15.4 digs, 13.3 kills, 12.4 assists, two blocks, and 1.5 service aces per set.
2025 Honorable Mention All-MIAA selection Kaelyn McDonald leads the Jens with 52 total blocks on the year, including a team-best 47 block assists, adding 108 kills, 12 assists, and 14 digs for good measure. The middle blocker has posted five or more kills in 13 matches this season, highlighted by a season-best 13 kills on 26 swings (.500 hitting percentage) in the four-set victory over No. 6 Barry (Aug. 27).
2024 Second Team All-MIAA selection Maya Fergerson leads the Jens with 145 kills on the year, averaging 3.22 kills per set, adding 29 digs and 22 total blocks through 14 matches in 2026. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has recorded double-figure kills in nine matches, including a season-best 20 kills on 42 attempts (.333 attack percentage) against Rockhurst (Sept. 15).
2025 Honorable Mention All-MIAA selection Shaye Koski's 116 kills rank second on the team, averaging 2.42 kills per set, adding 25 digs and 11 total blocks for good measure. The Parkville, Mo. native has recorded double-digit kills in six matches so far in 2026, including a season-best 14 kills in the five-set victory over receiving votes Grand Valley State (Aug. 29) and against McKendree (Sept. 12) in the final match of the Holiday Inn Express Griffon Invitational.
Sophomore Bria Dawson has the second-most solo blocks on the team with four, while having the third-most blocks per set (0.74). The Overland Park, Kan. native has recorded three double-figure kill performances on the year, including a career-high 17 kills on 37 swings (.378 hitting percentage), adding a career-best six total blocks against No. 22 Bentley (Aug. 28).
Freshman Chloe Rauner leads the team with four double-double performances, highlighted by 46 assists and 14 digs, adding five kills on 14 swings (.357 hitting percentage) and four total blocks in the five-set victory over receiving votes Grand Valley State (Aug. 29). The Omaha, Neb. native has the second-most digs on the team with 117, while her 17 total blocks are fifth-best heading into play Tuesday night.
Libero Ragin Corwin leads the Jens with 228 digs on the year, averaging 4.38 digs per set, while adding 53 assists and a team-high 19 service aces this season. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has recorded double-digit digs in all 14 matches in 2026, including a trio of 20-plus dig performances, highlighted by a career-high 29 digs in the four-set victory over No. 7 MSU-Denver (Sept. 5) in the final match of the Colorado Premier Challenge.
