The receiving votes Central Missouri Jennies volleyball team continues the 2026 season on Friday, Sept. 11, as they take on the Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars (2-5, 0-0 GLVC) at 1:00 p.m., during the opening day of the Holiday Inn Express Griffon Volleyball Invitational, inside MWSU Fieldhouse in St. Joseph, Mo.
The Jens will continue play at the Holiday Inn Express Griffon Volleyball Invitational with a pair of matches on Saturday, Sept. 12, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. match against the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns (5-3, 0-0 GAC) before taking on the McKendree Bearcats (2-5, 0-0 GLVC) at noon, inside MWSU Fieldhouse in St. Joseph, Mo.
Central Missouri went 2-2 this past weekend at the Colorado Premier Challenge, with victories over Regis (108, 0-0 RMAC) and No. 7 MSU-Denver (4-4, 0-0 GMAC).
Central Missouri is one of six teams from the MIAA that are featured in the latest AVCA Division II poll, including No. 4 Washburn, No. 7 Nebraska-Kearney, No. 10 MoWest, No. 22 Central Oklahoma, and No. 25 Emporia State.

Every match of the Holiday Inn Express Griffon Volleyball Invitational will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the MIAA Network. Coverage begins at 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning, and Saturday's coverage will begin at 9:30 a.m. from MWSU Fieldhouse in St Joseph, Mo.

Meet the Jens

Central Missouri returns 12 players from last year's squad, while adding two transfers and four freshmen.
Middle blocker/Opposite Ashlynn Jaccard spent the previous two seasons playing for Cowley CC (Kan.), while sophomore Bella Holcomb transferred from Butler CC (Kan.).
Setter Chloe Rauner (Omaha, Neb.), outside hitter Nora Wiley (Quincy, Ill.), middle blocker/right side Mia Lieberman (Caseyville, Ill.), and defensive specialist/libero Evynn Olsen (Omaha, Neb.) are entering their first season of collegiate volleyball.

Series History

Illinois-Springfield: Heading into play on Friday afternoon, the Jens and Illinois-Springfield will play for just the third time in program history, as Central Missouri has won the previous two meetings, including a sweep of the Prairie Stars during the opening day of the 2025 UIS Tournament.
Arkansas Tech: Saturday morning will be the 10th match between the Golden Suns and Central Missouri all-time, with the Jens holding an 8-1 advantage. UCM has won six of the last seven meetings, including the latest matchup which resulted in a Jens sweep during the 2021 NCAA-II Central Region Tournament Quarterfinals, on Friday, Dec. 3, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.
McKendree: Heading into play on Saturday afternoon, the Jens and McKendree will play for just the third time in program history, with the Jens having a 2-0 record in the series following a sweep in the final match of the 2025 Comfort Inn Invitational, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.

Jens By the Numbers

Through eight matches of play in the 2026 season, Central Missouri is averaging 14.5 digs, 12.3 kills, 11.4 assists, 1.9 blocks, and 1.5 service aces per set.
2025 Honorable Mention All-MIAA selection Kaelyn McDonald leads the Jens with 31 total blocks on the year, including a team-best 29 block assists, adding 55 kills, nine assists, and eight digs for good measure. The fifth year had eight total blocks against No. 25 West Texas A&M (Sept. 5), while posted five or more kills in seven matches this season, highlighted by a season-best 13 kills on 26 swings (.500 hitting percentage) in the four-set victory over No. 6 Barry (Aug. 27).
2025 Honorable Mention All-MIAA selection Shaye Koski leads the team with 78 kills, while averaging 2.52 kills per set, adding 14 digs and nine total blocks for good measure. The Parkville, Mo. native has recorded double-digit kills in four matches so far in 2026, including a season-best 14 kills in the five-set victory over receiving votes Grand Valley State (Aug. 29).
2024 Second Team All-MIAA selection Maya Fergerson has the second-most kills on the team with 72, averaging 2.88 kills per set, adding 18 digs and 12 total blocks through eight matches in 2026. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has recorded double figure kills in four matches, including a season-best 16 kills on 30 attempts (.400 attack percentage) in the four-set victory over No. 7 MSU-Denver (Sept. 5).
Sophomore Bria Dawson leads the team in solo blocks with four, while having the second-most blocks per set (0.74) and kills per set (2.57). The Overland Park, Kan. native has recorded three double-figure kill performances on the year, including a career-high 17 kills on 37 swings (.378 hitting percentage), adding a career-best six total blocks against No. 22 Bentley (Aug. 28).
Freshman Chloe Rauner leads the team with two double-double performances, doing so in the final two matches of the Sandy Hoffman Memorial Tournament, including 46 assists and 14 digs, adding five kills on 14 swings (.357 hitting percentage) and four total blocks in the five-set victory over receiving votes Grand Valley State (Aug. 29). The Omaha, Neb. native has the second-most digs on the team with 70, while her 11 total blocks are fifth-best heading into play this weekend.
Libero Ragin Corwin leads the Jens with 139 digs on the year, averaging 4.48 digs per set, while adding 23 assists and a team-high 11 service aces this season. The Blue Springs, Mo. native has recorded double-digit digs in all eight matches in 2026, including a trio of 20-plus dig performances, highlighted by a career-high 29 digs in the four-set victory over No. 7 MSU-Denver (Sept. 5) in the final match of the Colorado Premier Challenge.
