WARRENSBURG, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Mules Football head coach Josh Lamberson recently added two new coaches to round out his 2026 coaching staff.

Isaiah Wilson has joined UCM as the new running back coach, while Austin Alewel is the new kickers, punters, and long snappers coach.

Wilson joins the Mules after serving as the Running Backs Coach at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, during the 2025 season.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Isaiah Wilson to the Mules family. Isaiah brings great energy, a passion for developing young men, and valuable experience from Snow College," Lamberson said. "He understands what it takes to develop players and build a tough, physical running back room. We believe he will be a tremendous addition to our staff and our program."

Prior to his time at Snow, he was the Running Backs Coach/Assistant Offensive Coordinator at Snow Canyon High School in 2024.

Wilson served as a Student Assistant Running Backs Coach at Utah Tech University in St. George, Utah, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports management in 2024. He is working toward a master's degree in athletic administration at Utah Tech and plans to graduate in 2027.

Alewel, who is a Warrensburg native, joins the Mules coaching staff with a wealth of experience in coaching kickers, punters, and long snappers. He served as the Co-Special Teams Coordinator at Missouri State University in 2016 and was the Special Teams Analyst at the University of Missouri from 2014-2016.

In addition, he was a graduate and student assistant for Mizzou prior to being named the Special Teams Analyst.

"We are extremely excited to add Austin Alewel to our Mules coaching staff. Austin brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and expertise to our special teams unit from his experience at both the University of Missouri and Missouri State," Lamberson said. "What really stands out about Austin is his passion and energy for developing our specialists. He has a unique perspective on the kicking, punting, and snapping positions, and we believe his expertise will have a significant impact on those players and on our special teams as a whole. We are excited about what Austin will bring to our program."

At both Missouri State and Missouri, he helped lead the special teams units to several top-10 finishes in national statistical categories. He also recruited the number one-ranked kicker in the country at Mizzou in 2016, Tucker McCann.

Alewel graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in management in 2011and received a master's degree in educational and counseling psychology from Mizzou in 2014.
