Reece Nimmo of Jennies Golf have been selected as the March 2026 Central Bank Student-Athletes of the Month.
Garrett Lyons, Jr., Mules Wrestling
From nominator: "Garett has been a consistent, positive addition to my course. He makes great contributions and works extremely well on in-class group work. He's done an excellent job of communicating about his injury and has kept up with and excelled in class, even after having surgery mid-semester."
Reece Nimmo, So., Jennies Golf
From nominator: "Reece demonstrates strong leadership through her deep commitment to both her academic pursuits and her athletic responsibilities. She is also actively engaged in campus research focused on exploring factors that influence the mental health of Division II collegiate athletes."
About the Central Bank Student-Athlete of the Month
- Any UCM faculty or staff member can submit a nomination for the honor.
- Any current student-athlete in good academic standing is eligible for the award. Criteria for the accolade include academic performance, classroom engagement, and demonstration of commitment to scholarship. Athletic performance is not a determining factor in the process.
