Jennies Golf Earns 10th Consecutive NCAA-II Regional Berth

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- University of Central Missouri Jennies Golf earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship May 4-6 at St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo., the NCAA announced Sunday, April 26. This is the Jens' 10th straight appearance in the NCAA-II postseason. 

The Jennies, along with teams from the rest of the MIAA, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and Great American Conference (GAC), make up the Central Region.

Eighteen teams from the three conferences, along with six individuals, will compete at the regional championship.

The Jennies are one of nine MIAA teams to qualify for the regional. Rogers State, Washburn, Arkansas-Fort Smith, Central Oklahoma, Nebraska Kearney, Northwest Missouri, Missouri Western State University, and Missouri Southern are the other MIAA programs receiving berths to the regional. 

Central Missouri has competed in 10 events this season, compiling four wins and eight top-10 finishes. They also received extensive post-season conference honors, including MIAA Player of the Year in senior Mia Rallo, and four All-MIAA team recognitions.

The top four (central), four (south), five (east), and five (west) teams in each regional, along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team, will advance to the NCAA-II Women's Golf Championships.

The championships will be held May 12-16 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The number of participants who qualify for the finals is 98.
