WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The No. 37 University of Central Missouri women's golf team sits tied for first place after the opening round of the MIAA Women's Golf Championship, hosted by the Jennies at Mules National Golf Club.
UCM posted a 26-over 306 on day one, matching the University of Nebraska Kearney for the top spot. The Jennies were led by two top-10 individual performances. Central Oklahoma is in third place, just two strokes back, after carding a 28-over 308.
Freshman
Hannah Mottert is part of a three-way tie for second place after shooting a 4-over 74, highlighted by two birdies on the back nine. Close behind,
Kiki Bruner fired a 6-over 76 to sit in a tie for sixth.
Ansley Giesselmann and
Libby Green each recorded rounds of 8-over 78, placing them in a tie for 18th, while
Addy Davis is tied for 37th after posting an 11-over 81.
The Jennies return to the course on Tuesday, April 21, with tee times beginning at 9:20 a.m. at Mules National Golf Club.
