WARRENSBURG, Mo. — The No.14 Central Missouri Mules wrestling delivered a dominant performance on Senior Day, shutting out the Ouachita Baptist Tigers with a 43–0 victory at the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center on Saturday, Jan. 31st.
Central Missouri set the tone early and never let up, winning all 10 contested bouts while piling up bonus points throughout the lineup.
At 125 pounds,
Karim Allal opened the scoring with an 11–2 major decision over Justin Shaw to give the Mules an early advantage. Momentum continued at 133, where
Kaiden Powell secured a fall at 5:26 against Aamir Reed. No. 10
James Wright followed at 141, earning another pin at 6:14 over Iziah Tusler.
Trey Dillow controlled the action at 149, posting a 9–2 decision over Caleb Andrews. The Mules added more bonus points at 157, as
Ayden Dolt ended his bout quickly with a fall at 1:44 against Jack Golowenski.
At 165, No. 5
Gage Bernall showcased steady dominance, earning a 9–0 major decision over Samuel Schmidt.
Anthony Erickson kept the streak alive at 174, winning by a 7–2 decision against Ethan Day.
One of the most decisive bouts of the night came at 184, where No.1
Damon Ashworth recorded a 16–0 technical fall in just 1:55 over William Wilson.
Ayden Flores added another solid result at 197 with an 8–1 decision over Cayden Byrd.
The dual wrapped up at 285, where No. 14
Torin Forsyth sealed the team shutout with a gritty sudden-victory 5–2 win over No. 15 BK Seago.
Following the dual, the teams contested an exhibition bout at heavyweight, where
Dawson Rull (Central Missouri) capped the night with a fall at 1:10 over Parker Glaze (Ouachita Baptist).
UCM heads to Marshall, Mo., on Saturday, Feb. 7, to compete at the Missouri Valley Open.
