Strong Pitching Helps Jennies Softball Sweep Day Two of Lonestar College Classic

MANSFIELD, Texas – The Central Missouri Jennies (4-0, 0-0 MIAA) won a pair of games in the final day of the Lonestar College Classic, defeating the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm (1-3, 0-0 GAC) 5-1, before taking down the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons (2-1, 0-0 GLVC) by a final score of 3-2 Saturday, Jan. 31, from the Fields at Station 63 complex in Mansfield, Texas.

The Jens continue the 2026 season at the Alvy Early Memorial Classic on Friday, Feb. 6, with a pair of games against the Drury Panthers (1-1, 0-0 GLVC) at 11:00 a.m., before a matchup with the Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm (1-2, 0-0 LSC) at 1:30 p.m.

Game 1: Central Missouri 5, Southern Nazarene 1
The Jens opened the scoring in the top of the third with a two-out three-run shot from first baseman Bailey Brumley that scored Kyrsten Moran and Cydney Fullerton.

The Crimson Storm scored their lone run of the ballgame in the fourth, before Taylor Kvale connected on a two-run shot of her own that plated Aly Hageman.

Andi Siebeneck (2-0) picked up the win in the circle for Central Missouri as she allowed five hits in 4 1/3 innings while striking out a pair of SNU batters. Freshman Madelyn Ducheneaux earned her first collegiate save, tossing 2 2/3 innings in relief.

Game 2: Central Missouri 3, Missouri-St. Louis 2
Central Missouri opened the scoring in the bottom of the second, beginning with a passed ball that scored Jadyn Sheffield before Hageman scored on a wild pitch.

The Jens continued taking advantage of Triton mishaps in the third as Fullerton scored on a wild pitch in the third, which proved to be the difference as Karman Rowe (2-0) picked up the win in the circle, tossing two innings in relief before Ducheneaux collected her second save of the day for good measure.
