CLAREMORE, Okla. – No. 10-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies Soccer posted a 5-0, shutout victory over the Rogers State University Hillcats in an MIAA match on Sunday, Sept. 28, at Soldier Field.
The Jennies (4-2-2, 1-0-1 MIAA) are scheduled to return home to the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg to begin a four-match homestand with a conference tilt against Fort Hays State (2-3-1, 0-0-1 MIAA) on Friday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m.
UCM scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 33rd minute when
Coryn Jespersen netted her first goal of the season off an assist from
Alexandra Hofbauer before
Ryann Clark doubled the Central Missouri lead to 2-0, tallying her second goal of 2025 off a penalty kick in the 40th minute.
The Jennies made it 3-0 in the 66th minute after
Patsy O'Brien hammered an assist from
Kate Ricker into the back of the net for her first goal of the season, prior to
Maryn Clement compiling her first goal of 2025 via an assist from Hofbauer in the 71st minute, upping the UCM lead to 4-0.
Clement wasn't done yet, as she put an exclamation point on the match with her second goal of the contest in the 89th minute on a feed from
Hannah Borgstadt, securing the 5-0 triumph.
For the match, Central Missouri outshot Rogers State (0-3-4, 0-1-1 MIAA), 23-8, including a 16-1 advantage in shots on goal.
UCM goalkeeper
Kristen Wright (4-2-2) earned the win between the posts after giving up no goals and making one save in just over 75 minutes. Fellow goalkeeper
Hannah McFarlane played the final 15 minutes of the contest and surrendered zero goals, sealing the combined shutout for both goalkeepers.
Rogers State goalkeeper Calais Butts suffered the setback in goal, allowing all five goals while making nine saves in 90 minutes.
