No. 2 Mules Baseball Drops Saturday Contest at Rogers State, 4-1

CLAREMORE, Okla. – No. 2-ranked Central Missouri Mules baseball fell to the Rogers State Hillcats, 4-1, in the second game of a three-game MIAA series Saturday, March 22, at the RCB Bank Sports Complex.

The Mules (18-6, 9-3 MIAA) and Hillcats (17-7, 7-5 MIAA) are slated to play the series finale of the series Sunday, March 23, at 1 p.m. in Claremore.

UCM was held to just one run and four hits in the game. Central Missouri's lone run occurred in the top of the second when Isaiah Keller crossed home plate while Cole Kreisel was attempting to steal second base.

Jacob Steele, Chase Wilcox, Keller and Kreisel each had one hit, pacing the Mules offensively.

UCM starting pitcher Jack Kreisman (1-1) suffered the setback on the mound, giving up two earned runs on three hits with four walks and two strikeouts in six innings.

Jake Mitchell went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBI, leading the Hillcats at the plate.

Rogers State starting pitcher Colton Anderson (5-1) earned the victory on the rubber after throwing a complete game, going the full nine innings and allowing one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts and zero walks on 114 pitches.
