GOLDEN, Colo. – No. 17 Central Missouri wrestling team went 1-2 during the Jack Hancock Duals, Saturday, Dec. 20, inside Russell H. Volk Gymnasium, on the campus of Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colo.

Central Missouri suffered one-point losses to No. 21 Colorado School of Mines (21-20) and (Receiving Votes) Minnesota State (17-16) before defeating (Receiving Votes) Belmont Abbey by a final score of 38-9.
 
The Mules captured five victories in their opening dual against No. 21 Colorado School of Mines, highlighted by back-to-back tech fall victories from Drew Stanfield (133 pounds) and James Wright (141 pounds), before No. 9 Gage Bernall (165 pounds) won by major decision, followed by decisions from No. 1 Damon Ashworth (184 pounds) and Torin Forsyth (HWT).
 
Against RV Minnesota State in their second dual of the day, Central Missouri's Stanfield (133 pounds), No. 9 Bernall (165 pounds), Anthony Erickson (197 pounds), and Forsyth (HWT) won their matches by decision, while No. 1 Ashworth earned a major decision 12-2 over Evan Farley.
 
The Mules won their final dual of the day over (Receiving Votes) Belmont Abbey by a final score of 38-9, as Central Missouri won six of the first seven matches, including five with bonus points from Peyton Shepard (125 pounds), Stanfield (133 pounds), Dolt (157 pounds), No. 9 Bernall (165 pounds), and Colin McAlister (174 pounds).
 
The Mules captured decisions from James Wright over No. 12 Luke Kunath by a final score of 1-0, before Erickson picked up a 14-9 decision over No. 15 Kylar Pickard at 184 pounds.  
 
No. 17 Central Missouri returns to the mat on Friday, Jan. 9, as they are set to compete at the Iron Mike Duals in Marshall, Minn.
