SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Reese Schaaf had 18 points and Taylor Weishaar added 14 points and eight rebounds, lifting Central Missouri Jennies Basketball to a 65-58 win over the Augustana University Vikings in the MIAA/NSIC Crossover on Saturday, Nov. 15, inside the Elmen Center.

The Jennies (1-1) are scheduled to host MSU Moorhead (1-1) for their 2025-26 home opener on Tuesday morning, Nov. 18, at 11:30 a.m. inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.

UCM led 34-30 at halftime before outscoring Augustana in the third quarter, 20-10, to help secure its first win of the 2025-26 season.

Schaaf netted her 18 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the floor and a 3-of-4 showing at the free-throw line, while Weishaar went 5-of-13 from the field for her 14 points. Freshman Neely Schaaf also reached double figures, compiling 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, and also dished out a game-best six assists.

For the game, the Jennies shot 39 percent from the field (24-of-61), 35 percent from three-point range (9-of-26), and 67 percent at the free-throw line (8-of-12). Central Missouri controlled the glass, outrebounding Augie, 42-37, and outscored the Vikings in the paint, 26-24.

Payton Hardy scored 14 points and Maliyah Elliott added 13 points, pacing Augustana (0-2).
