KANSAS CITY, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Mules Football quarterback
Donovyn Omolo was voted the MIAA Offensive Athlete of the Week for his performance on the football field during the week of Sept. 29 through Oct. 5, the conference office announced Monday afternoon, Oct. 6.
Omolo, a redshirt freshman from Conway, Ark., helped the Mules to a thrilling 35-34 victory at Central Oklahoma Saturday, Oct. 4, in Edmond, Okla.
He passed for a career-high 331 yards, going 20-of-40, and tallied two passing touchdowns. Omolo added a career-best two rushing touchdowns on 12 carries and 37 rushing yards. In addition, he caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from wide receiver Marlon Lindsey Jr. for his first career receiving TD and fifth touchdown of the game. For the game, he tallied 368 yards of total offense.Â
Mules Football is scheduled to host No. 22-ranked Northwest Missouri State on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field in Warrensburg.
