EDMOND, Okla. – No. 2-ranked Central Missouri Mules football fell to the Central Oklahoma Bronchos, 57-40, Saturday evening, Sept. 14, at Chad Richison Stadium.
The Mules (1-1, 0-1 MIAA) are scheduled to travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., for a non-conference contest at Davenport Saturday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. CT.
Central Missouri was outgained in the game by Central Oklahoma, 731 yards to 501 yards, and the Bronchos were able to post a 34:18 to 25:42 advantage in time of possession.
UCM quarterback
Zach Zebrowski went 27-for-55 for 437 yards and tallied six passing touchdowns, and added 36 rushing yards while
Marcellous Hawkins tallied 99 receiving yards and a touchdown while also compiling 40 rushing yards on 11 carries, pacing Central Missouri offensively.
UCO quarterback Jett Huff went 42-for-54 with three touchdowns and 457 yards while Jaylen Cottrell posted 163 rushing yards on 20 carries with three touchdowns, and Terrill Davis had 203 receiving yards on 14 catches with two touchdowns, leading Central Oklahoma.
Central Oklahoma (2-0, 1-0 MIAA) posted a 457-437 advantage in passing yards and a 274-64 advantage in rushing yards.
