BOLIVAR, Mo. -- No. 12-ranked Jennies Golf wins back-to-back MIAA Women's Championships and their second title in program history Wednesday, April 24 at Silo Ridge Golf Club. The Jennies started the event in third place after day one, but worked their way back to the top of the leaderboard to claim the conference title. They posted a three-day team score of 907 (+43), winning the event by nine strokes. Rogers State took runner-up at 52-over par (916) and Northeastern State rounded out the top three at 54-over par (918).
The Jennies were led by freshman
Maya McVey who finished as the individual runner-up. The MIAA Freshman of the Year posted a final round 77 (+5) to end the tournament at 8-over par (224).
Sophomore
Mia Rallo finished close behind, tied for third place. The MIAA Player of the Year posted a third round 73 (+1) to end the event a 9-over par (225).Â

Hayley Jones and senior
Claire Solovic were next, both competing in their final conference tournament. Jones shot 78 (+6) on the third day, finishing the tournament in sixth place at 10-over par (226). Solovic shot her best round of the tournament, 74 (+2), in the final round to end the event tied for 19th at 17-over par (233).Â
Rounding out the Jennies scoring was sophomore
Libby Green, who entered the tournament on the second day. Green combined her first round 77 (+5) with a 78 (+6) on the final day for a two-round total of 11-over par (155).Â
Next, the Jennies are headed to the NCAA-II Central/Midwest Regional Championship May 6-8 at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville, Okla.Â
