TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – No. 3-ranked Central Missouri Mules baseball secured a series win over the Northeastern State RiverHawks with a 19-14 win in game two of a three-game MIAA series Saturday, March 2, at Rousey Field.
The Mules (14-3, 4-1 MIAA) and RiverHawks (9-9, 1-4 MIAA) will wrap up the series with a game Sunday, March 3, at 1 p.m.
Jack Schark,
Brennen van Breusegen and
Chase Heath all homered in the game, with Schark also collecting three RBIs.
Jacob Steele also drove in three runs on three hits, while
Vance Tobol also had three hits.
UCM relief pitcher
Jacob Moskowitz (2-0) earned the win on the mound after allowing two earned runs on two hits with two strikeouts and one walk in 2 2/3 innings.
CJ Briley took the loss for Northeastern State after giving up seven runs – five earned – on eight hits with four strikeouts and three walks in 5 2/3 innings.
